Water-based Hobby Color was designed to allow people to enjoy painting safely and comfortably at home, and was introduced in 1982.

In 2019, the main ingredient design was revised for the first time in about 38 years, dramatically improving performance and safety. Now you can casually paint professionally at home.

<Product Features>

- Water-soluble acrylic resin paint that can be diluted with water. The amount of organic solvent used is less than that of solvent-based acrylic resin paints, and milder ones are used. Therefore, the smell of the paint is mild and easy to handle.
- It becomes water-resistant after drying. Before drying, it can be diluted with water and tools can be washed. After drying, please use Mr. Tool Cleaner Kai or similar to clean.

- The gloss and smoothness of the coating are excellent.

<About dilution and number of coats>

-When applying with a brush, there is basically no need to dilute. You can use it as is. If the viscosity is high, add a small amount of water or water-based hobby color thinner to loosen it before use.

-When spraying with an airbrush, add about 1 part water-based hobby color thinner to 1 part paint. (Dilution ratio of about 1:1) It

can also be diluted with water, but if there is too much water, it will be more likely to be repelled by the target. Also, the more water there is, the longer it will take to dry.

-For the number of coats, apply 1-2 thin coats with a brush, or 2-3 thin coats with an airbrush, and you will get a beautiful finish.

If the base color is dark and shows through the overcoated color, apply more coats as needed.

<How to adjust from gloss to semi-gloss/matte>

To change a gloss color to matte, add 15% or more of H40 Flat Base, and to change to semi-gloss, add 5-10%.

<Changes from the previous specifications>

・The strength of the coating has been improved, and the quality of the glossy finish has been improved.

・The drying speed has been improved.

・Due to the change in the raw materials used, the number of pigments that can be used has increased, and the pigments used are almost the same as those used in Mr. Color, improving color reproducibility. (Excluding blue pigments/metallic pigments, etc.) As a result, the color and luster of some paints have been changed.

Caution:

This paint contains organic solvents. Please ventilate well during and after use.

Cannot be mixed with other model paints.

*The numbers such as 1 in the color sample are Mr. Color's similar color numbers.

*If you paint ABS resin parts, the paint may penetrate the resin and make the parts brittle and crack. Please carefully check the assembly instructions and the part runners, and avoid painting "ABS resin parts."
